How Do Wars Begin?

​     On our family vacation this summer, we visited two expansive WWII museums.  As we walked through the exhibits, it was clear to note that the material was organized chronologically, displaying significant events that set the stage for subsequent events.  The question is asked: "Why did the USA go to war?"  For WWII,  because, "(We)...were suddenly and deliberately attacked…" at Pearl Harbor.
     Before that infamous day, "hostilities" were being cataloged by nations all over the world.  Sadly, even "evil empires" began to appeal to their "moral justifications" for why they should lash out in conflict and regard neighbors as enemies.
     This is why the photo (above) intrigued me.  It is part of the US propaganda campaign explaining one reason for the world wide struggle.  Do you see who the real "enemy" is?  It is the party who wishes to destroy the authority and sanctity of the Holy Bible!  This poster teaches that without the Bible: Nations can choose their own "gods;" Philosophy can prove that "all men are NOT created equal;" Rulers can dictate the destinies of those they despise; and certainly, societal carnage will reign.
     Where do we put this photo on the timeline of events leading up to WWII?  Who in charge of US propaganda determined that desecrating the Bible would lead us to define who our REAL enemy was?  Who in the world at this time had rejected the Bible and therefore, reject  peace and unity among nations?
     Was it Germany, who at the turn of the century, had "Christian" seminaries become so "liberal," and critical of the Bible that they no longer believed it to be the word of God? Why were there so many highly educated leaders of the NAZI Party who rejected the worldview of the Bible?
   Was it Italy, whose Roman Catholic society so compromised with "Il Duce" who ascended to power by  outwardly promoting the public morality of the Catholic Church; but in reality had deep and historical animosity toward the Church's influence? 
     Was it Japan, whose Emperor was regarded as a Divine incarnation -- a clear violation of the Bible's teachings?
      These are questions worth exploring!
     Was there really a time in America that we believed that those who rejected the Bible were clearly our enemies?  Is this poster a true representation of our country's convictions?
     If so, we are truly engaged in another kind of battle today!  I'm not sure what the propagandists believed in the '40's; but I know this message is prophetic today!
     In this poster, there is an insignia of a swastika on the sleeve of the one stabbing a dagger through the Bible.  What insignia from our time today could rightly replace that swastika?  There are indeed certainly groups, societies, and perhaps whole political parties who express the sentiment that they want nothing to do with the Bible.  In fact, we see, hear, and read from all over our country that particular groups despise the doctrines and morality of the Bible -- are we correct then, to call them, "Enemies?"
     Once the Bible, with its truth and King rejected, chaos, violence, and war will ensue! We must not forget history, we must defend the authority of God's Truth!
