"The Messianic Hope Conference"

Welcome to the Mid-South Apologetics Team page!
We are a ministry that explores Biblical truth and inter-disciplinary studies to inform our Christian Apologetics!  There are a lot of things we can learn from a lot of different sources to help us reach a lot of different people with the understanding that faith in Jesus Christ is compelling enough to share with everyone, everywhere!

PAST MSAT MEETING!
"God on the Internet?"
October 25, 2024
@ Richland ARP Church
7PM
You can link to a livestream of this presentation:

We all know that the internet is mostly about getting "clicks," right?
Think of all the
queries being made by people online, seeking to answer religious and philosophical questions about the existence of God. Who is providing this information and are they honestly weighing the merits of legitimate arguments that have existed for generations long before computer technology? Or is there a new kind of religion being constructed in our own day by the hive mind of Artificial Intelligence? Do websites actually present the compelling arguments that are satisfying for intellectual pursuit, or are we being subjected to the cloudiness of "buzzfeed" websites only interested in clicks rather than clarity?  We will consult a few websites and engage in an open conversation intended to equip attendees to determine if the internet is capable of delivering the goods on God!  Bring a friend.  Refreshments served.

"Formation of Presbyterianism in the UK (prior to Colonial America)"

History has shown that religious movements have an incalculable impact upon the social and political environment influencing the nations of the world.  When one examines the history of the islands commonly referred to as the "United Kingdom" (which it certainly wasn't at the time of the Protestant Reformation!) we not only see the convictions of influential thought leaders, but we also begin to uncover the seeds that will be planted in the establishment of the United States of America (which also seems like it isn't today!).  Who were the key players in England, Scotland, and Ireland that marked the annals of history, priming the pump for reformation in Britain and immigration to the American Colonies? What influential convictions were derived from the Scriptures that still impact our understanding of what rightly constitutes a properly ordered church and state today?  We invite your presence and input as we enjoy a presentation on this expansive topic by the Rev. Tim Phillips of Brighton ARP Church, meeting on the campus of Richland ARP Church in Rosemark, TN. (7-9PM - refreshments served!)

"Tour of Ancient Greece"
April 26, 2024 @ Richland ARP Church
7PM
Picture
In early 2024, Rev. Kent Moorlach and his daughter, Faith, embarked on an expedition that led them along "the very footsteps" of the Apostle Paul.  As the Book of Acts is another document highlighting the people, places, and practices of history, our "tour-guides" will take you to these ancient locations as they are situated today in order to expound upon the Biblical texts and the historic realities of the church's early growth in Greece.  Locations to be highlighted: Neaopolis, Philippi, Thessalonica, Berea, Athens, Corinth, and more...
Please RSVP at our online sites, or just below.  Thank you!

MAG welcomes radio host and pod-cast producer, Shane Rosenthal, to a weekend conference in Memphis, TN, to discuss the appropriate need for "skeptical inquiry" regarding the Christian faith.  This event will be ideal for those who are both new to, or are thinking about becoming, a follower of Jesus Christ.

Our Friday to Sunday presentations will also include "break-out" presentations that will focus on specific questions people have about the Bible, along with strategies for understaning broad categories of the Christian worldview and convictions utilized everyday even among cultures that do not even think themselves, "Christian."
