CELEBRANTS!

Clearly, the Lord has ordained simple and ordinary practices to sanctify His people.  We are encouraged to be simple, work with our hands, maintain decorum, and do good deeds with a humble spirit.

And clearly, this makes us different from the world, which gravitates toward the exciting, flashy, heart-stirring, and carnival allurements of life.  

How will the simple practices of Bible reading, prayer, singing, sacraments, and hearing the word preached compete with the lights, sounds, and miracles of modern entertainments? 

These are two contrasting approaches.  

Excitements can spell-bind us for a while; but can they truly promote generational discipleship?  Will it sustain a church for 160 years?

Very clearly, it seems that the ordinary ways of doing things will have the greatest impact over the long-hall.  It's tempting to want to get a quick result, and to post it for everyone to marvel; but daily devotions to tried-and-true commitments, along with enduring values really is the key for all long-term relationships. 

SO THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO CELEBRATE!!!!  

God has been faithful to us for a long time!  Therefore, we are making plans to celebrate our 160th Anniversary on November 1, 2026.  We are collecting history, displaying artifacts, hosting a luncheon, inviting a lot of friends & family, and just having a simple service to worship the God who set-us apart -- to celebrate eternal life!
